Honouring Our Incredibly Gifted Elderly
When I tell people there is a platform on The Great Sites called The Thirty-Year Monday they invariably ask me what it means, and to be honest it took me a while to put it into words because it is hard to describe what it would feel like if you were sitting in a room with Abraham Lincoln at the height of his abilities and experience.
I have been very fortunate to know people like this.
Elderly, distinguished, and without a hint of pride in their tremendous accomplishments.
They came to special terms with life decades ago. You know it when they walk in the room and bring Thirty Years of world-class Mondays with them.
Decisions find clarity between people like these very easily. Insight has never had better representation. And you wish that you could just listen to them for hours.
You know it the minute they walk in the room.
I have had the privilege of knowing them, and it is what I wish for you and the platform on The Great Sites dedicated to them: The Thirty-Year Monday. That those elderly, usually forgotten and in plain sight, of tremendous experience, share their decades of experience with the next generations and allow us to honour them with all the appreciation and respect they deserve. A place where they can share it with you...
