The Tapping That Changed Everything

When Clint was ten, school felt like a puzzle with a missing piece. It wasn’t the lessons in English, math, or science that tripped him up—it was the simple act of sitting still. No matter how hard he tried, his hands would start tapping out rhythms only he could hear.
The tapping annoyed his classmates and frustrated his teachers. It got so bad that Clint was sent to the principal’s office, where he was told to sit on his hands just to keep the peace.
But the urge to tap was unstoppable. One day, after another round of finger drumming, Clint’s teacher, Mr. Jensen, called him to stay after class. Clint’s heart sank. He braced for another lecture, another reminder that he didn’t quite fit in.
Instead, something remarkable happened. Mr. Jensen didn’t scold him. He looked Clint in the eyes and asked, “Have you ever thought about playing the drums?” Then, from his desk drawer, Mr. Jensen pulled out a shiny pair of drumsticks and handed them to Clint. “You’re not a problem,” he said with a smile. “I think you’re a drummer.”
That single moment changed Clint’s life. He never put the drumsticks down. The rhythms that once got him in trouble became his superpower. Drumming took him around the world, paid for his college education, and filled his life with music and meaning—all because one person saw potential where others saw a problem.
Clint’s story is a joyful reminder that sometimes, what makes us different is what makes us extraordinary. All it takes is one person to see us for who we really are—and to help us see it, too. Because in the end, there’s a difference between being the best in the world and being the best for the world.

In my opinion, the most important message comes at the end: knowledge cannot be taken for granted.
This generates so many questions.
This man is so full of wisdom. Wisdom that will carry on for generations.

Sometimes I think teachers don't realise the power and potential they have to change children's lives.

Eckhart Tolle is the most important person you have ever had on the show. The significance of his message for us today cannot be overstated. He is a rare master we have been blessed with.
