Butterflies In February

True story...
I was in a restaurant in February – it was winter here and bitterly cold. There was far too much snow and I was working into the evening hours alone.
I will never forget it. It had been a hard week, a hard month and a hard year.
I was about to leave and entered the vestibule of the restaurant.
It was minus 20 degrees Celsius. Two feet of snow.
But there in the vestibule was a beautiful blue butterfly like these. This was simply not possible. Winter had been extreme for months, the restaurant was impeccably clean but there, with stunning blue wings flying above me, was a butterfly.
I watched it and stared out into the snow and cold. I needed it; I needed that.
The one small indication that told me that I mattered.
And there it was.
A butterfly in February...
